Music for the last days of Winter……
The february DreamScenes edition may feel darker than usual.
Possibly due to the dark winter days or, who knows, the general darkness of current times.
But don’t worry: there’s a sweet surprise at the end. So keep listening!
A meditation on aesthetics by Yann Novak; the third album by the Triac trio, and multi-layered soundscapes from Bulgaria’s Mytrip
Preserved Sound, Dronarivm, Home Normal and Taâlem present their label compilations that look ahead at 2017, look back at 2016, or (in the Taâlem case) overview their 15 years of existence.
All of them are generously offered as a ‘Name Your Price’ download!
A collection recorded for Kim Cascone’s Drone Cinema Festival * A Zen escape from the ordinary with the help of Kenneth Kirschner * Glacial Movements in sound by Johannes Malfatti * and a remarkable tribute to Bill Evans from Kirk Kadish
Svarte Greiner’s Moss Garden, Franz Kirmann’s Elysian Park and Loren Nerell’s Dark Cloud: the references to nature are strictly coincidental.
Or maybe not.
More experimental music from the Lowlands: new albums by Sonmi451, Legiac, Machinefabriek & Michel Banabila and some more Machinefabriek this time with Anne Bakker & Edith Karkoscha
I have enjoyed a holiday in September, so I had to skip last month’s DreamScenes edition.
To compensate for the immeasurable grief this must have caused, ánd to celebrate the start of autumn, this edition is a twice as long as usual.
So I hope you’ll enjoy these two hours of new (and relatively new) music to make you float away into your daydream…
